Dallas Brock Obituary

Dallas Julian Brock, son of Randall D and Amelia (Ridner) Brock, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 while in the loving care of his family.  Julian was born in Lenarue KY on October 22, 1938 and is a graduate of Harlan (KY) High School.  He attended Eastern KY University, was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemason, lifetime member of The National Rifle Association and a follower of Jesus Christ. He worked in sales for many years and ended his working career in the trucking industry. He owned a horse farm for many years and enjoyed riding his own horse, Jet.

Julian is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Billie Jo (Keith) Brock of Noblesville, IN; children, Randall (Nancy) Brock, Jennings (Evelyn) Brock, Zonya (Tom) Battershell, Tracy (Tom) Penley, and Julie (Perry) Sizemore; grandchildren, Julian Hodges, Chris Hodges, Bryan Brock, Tyler Battershell, Logan Battershell, Ronnie Snelbaker, Kevin Penley, Kelli Reineke, Shanda Hellen, Raven Urquiza, Melissa Untrauer, Shannon Penley; great-grandchildren, Madison, Riley, Slade, Trace, Owen, Rhett, Maya, Silas, Ezra, Oscar, Madison, Dominic, Donavan, Grayson, Sebastian, Eden, and coming this spring - Baby Hellen; brother, Harvey Brock of Ormond Beach FL; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Julian was preceded in death by brothers,  Wade G. Brock and R. Reid Brock; sisters-in-law, Ann Brock, and Susan Brock.

In his 85 years, Julian made a positive impact on all of those around him.  He was charismatic, genuine, and perhaps the most unselfish person ever.  He would literally go out of his way to help a person in need, whatever that might be.  Above all, he truly loved his wife, Billie tremendously.

Although his family and friends are saddened by his untimely passing, they take great comfort in knowing that he is now in Heaven with Jesus, walking among family and friends.
