Noel Richard Moon

Noel Richard Moon, 81, of Westfield, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born March 8, 1942 in Tipton, to Raymond Richard & Velma Maybeth (Pickrell) Moon.

Following his 1960 graduation from Carmel High School, he attended Indiana Central Business College and completed their Accounting Program. Noel was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam war in the 1st Infantry Division, sometimes referred to as “Big Red 1.” Noel was a member of the Carmel American Legion Post #155.

Noel worked at Moran Electric Service and Horner Electric Industrial Group as Assistant Shop Advisor for 30 years before retiring.

One of many interests that Noel enjoyed was collecting Coca-Cola items and woodworking projects. He took much pride in his 1955 Chevy car and loved any antique car.  A past time was taking drives through the country to simply appreciate nature and the scenery. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Noel was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Hughes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Judith Ann (Keenen) Moon; daughters, Dawn (Troy) Moon Hammon and Amy Moon Bostic; grandchildren, Cody (Morgan) Bostic, Zachary (Stephanie) Hammon, and Morgan Hammon; great-grandchildren, Easton Hammon, Jace Hammon, Beckett Hammon, and Baby Bostic due June; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Monday, February 26, 2024 from 1 pm till 4 pm in New Joy Lutheran Church, of which Noel was a long-time active member, and where the Celebration of Life Service will be held from 4-5 pm.

A private family Committal Service will take place.

In memory of Noel, donations may be made to New Joy Lutheran Church.  Envelopes will be available at the service.
