Obituary of Rosemary Gifford

Rosemary Seibert Maier Gifford, 80, of Fishers, IN, passed away peacefully in her sleep February 26, 2017 following a lengthy battle with Mesothelioma Cancer. She was born on February 16, 1937 in Midland, MI daughter of Floyd B. and Erma Davis Seibert and spent most of her life in the Midland/Freeland area.

Rosemary sold Shaklee products for more than 40 years. She loved to sew, having made baby quilts, nightgowns, pajamas and much more. Some of the items she sold at local craft shows; however, much of what she made, she donated to local charities and to foreign Missionaries. Also, Rosemary tenderly made over 2000 preemie quilts and donated them to the NICU at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Gifford; sons, Joe Gifford and Barry Gifford.

Survivors include her children; Cindy Maier Rushton (Bill) of Fisher, IN, Wayne Maier (Becky) of Indianapolis, IN, Connie Gifford Coblentz (John) of Linden, TN, Margaret Gifford Hyde (Ron) of Freeland, MI and Randy Gifford (Linda) of Gurnee, IL; 13 grandchildren; Carmen (Tim) Lawrence, Megan (John) Dugan, Heather (David) Strader, Tony (Patina) Maier, Tim (Rashell) Maier, Mary (Jim) Cain, John (Andrea) Coblentz, Matthew (Kayla) Coblentz, Samuel (Lacey) Coblentz, Jaclyn Gifford, Jenelle Gifford and Charles Gifford; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Emil Seibert (Aida) of Yuma, AZ; sister, Marjorie Seibert Seaver (Ray) of Freeland, MI and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2 pm in Mt. Haley Church of God, 2184 S. Homer Road, Midland, MI, where Rosemary was an active member for over 50 years. Visitation will begin an hour prior to service at 1 pm in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rosemary, may be given to Mt. Haley Church of God or the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, Inc. (www.curemeso.org-donate tab/tribute wall).
